2012 is coming to an end and it seems fitting to round off the year with a look at Emma's most fashionable moments of 2012.
The year began with us finally getting to see pictures from her photo shoot with young London photographer Harry Crowder. In this shoot Emma is dressed in quite a masculine fashion with her still pixie hair do, train-driver-esque hat, white shirt and black trousers. But it is her ultra feminine facial features and black ballet pumps that soften the look quite a bit. These were beautiful, classic and sometimes quirky photos of Emma, nearly all shot in black and white. Here are two of my favourites. Browse the rest of the album and the others on the Facebook group Emma Watson 411.
Emma's whirlwind journey with Lancome quickly picked up with her promoting several products from Blanc Expert to Tresor Midnight Rose perfume to her own collection, Rouge in Love. It began with new promotional images emerging from her advert for Blanc Expert, a skin corrector. Images for Rouge in Love also emerged.
From here Emma travelled around the world promoting Lancome as their new ambassadress. Starting in London, Emma attended a Q&A type event at Selfridges and tweeted a picture from her car showing off her beautiful LBD: a Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 Bow dress, paired with Sergio Rossi 'Boidea' Pumps and an Annoushka Granulation Daisy Ring.
That night, Emma donned a red Valentino Pre-Fall 2012 lace bow dress, Louboutin Crosspiga Pumps and an Asprey Black Sapphire Rose Ring, all for the pre-BAFTA party she was hosting, sponsored by Lancome. This had to be one of my favourite looks of the entire year. Red is one of my favourite colours. The makeup was just divine and that ring was enough to send any girls heart racing!
In April Emma turned 22 and being in L.A. filming “The Bling Ring” at the time she co-hosted a Mulberry BBQ Pool Party at the Coachella Music festival. Whilst there she attended performances by Florence and the Machine and others. She wore a Mulberry playsuit and a vintage hat.
Emma then attended the “Struck by Lightening” premiere at the Tribeca film festival. Her entire outfit was Miu Miu: starting with the Patent Leather open-toe platform pumps, white print shirt, the peplum leather jacket and the blue print skirt.
In May, Emma attended a “Very Classy” Gucci event hosted by Derek Blasberg. There weren’t many picture of her from this event but she was dressed with minimal, effortless elegance. The only item of clothing which could be identified were her shoes which were Rag and Bone Lovell platform shoes.
In June, Emma attended the MTV Movie Awards. Here, Emma promoted “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” and accepted an award on behalf of the cast of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” for “Best Cast”. She wore a dress by Brood and shoes by Tabitha Simmons.
The month of September saw the “Perks” promotion begin to speed up. She attended premieres, film festivals and appeared on magazine covers all for “Perks”. Apart from “Harry Potter”, I think it’s safe to say her fans have never seen her so excited about one of her projects and so proud of the final outcome. The first set of premieres and press junkets came from the Toronto film festival. To the premiere she wore an Erdem Resort 2013 Sleeveless dress which she had altered (the skirt was originally longer), Prada Kid Leather pointed toe pumps and an Yves Saint Laurent Cuff Bracelet. I loved her makeup here too: the clash of the plum lipstick with the blues in the dress were truly wonderful!
Keeping with the Toronto Film Festival, Logan, Ezra and Emma all had press portraits taken, photographed by Chris Pizello. Here she wore a Jason Wu Resort 2013 dress, which again she had altered.(the skirt was again a little longer…I can see a theme developing here).
“Perks” then took Emma to L.A. where she wore an Armani Pale Yellow gown which she again had the skirt shortened a bit. Watch a makeup tutorial and recreate Emma’s makeup from this event here.
Next it was on to New York and my personal favourite outfit/makeup for the “Perks” promotional tour. Her makeup had hints of mint green which complimented the white of her dress and the emerald stone in her ring. She wore a Brood Fall 2012 White mini dress paired with Prada Capretto Leather pointed shoes and Crows Nest Jewels Feather ring.
Finally, Emma attended the London premiere of “Perks” and opted for classic elegance, dress in all black with simple jewellery and a soft, curly up-do. She wore a Christian Dior peplum skirt and pumps by the same designer.
During the “Perks” promotion tour, Emma also made many T.V. appearances from the Jonathon Ross show to the Letterman Show. Here are a few pictures from those appearances
As well as T.V. appearances, she starred in many magazines such as Glamour, Elle and Nylon. The images featured are (top to bottom) Elle Belgium, Nylon, New York Times Style, Vanity Fair Glamour US and Glamour UK.
Emma then went on to attend two very classy events. One for Elle Magazines Celebration of Women in Hollywood where she received the Calvin Klein “Emerging Star” award and gave a very emotional speech which I felt myself welling up at! I loved her outfit, her hair and her makeup for this event. They complimented each other very well and she looked so beautiful…but then again when does Emma not look beautiful? She wore a Calvin Klein Spring 2013 RTW two-tone Matte Satin Dress paired with CK Spring 2013 Platform sandals.
The second event was a Nylon Launch party which she attended with her “Perks” co-stars Ezra Miller and Logan Lerman.
In October Emma also attended a benefit auction and dinner for the New York Studio School of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture. As an avid artist, you can see why Emma chose to attend this event. She wore a Leroy and Perry Exclusive Tweed Zip cardigan and a Rag and Bone Long sleeve crew top.
This brings us to the end of 2012 and with it another Lancome promotion for Emma’s new Lancome collection or Spring/Summer 2013 entitled, “Lancome In Love”. Here are some pictures from the shoot.
