Glastonbury…Revisited

Yes it is that time of year again that people want to forget the horrid weather and focus on something warmer…summer. For music lovers summer is a time spent at some of the most popular and major music festivals. Glastonbury, Coachella and Oxegen to name a few. As you all know Emma attended the Glastonbury music festival last year accompanied by her then love interest, George Craig, lead singer of the York based band One Night Only. Photographers, magazines and radio seemed to relish the two being seen together, as the masses of photographs show us.

The pair first met on the Burberry Spring/Summer 2010 campaign and have been presumed friends ever since. When they arrived at Glastonbury together and spent two days of the festival in each others pockets, it was only natural to assume a romantic nature to the relationship. Rumours, however, were sort of put to rest when Edith Bowman, a BBC Radio 1 presenter asked the pair in an interview if they were in fact an item. Similar questions were asked by interviewers after the festival and all got the same answer; they were not officially in a relationship as it would be too difficult to keep up a steady relationship with the two travelling constantly and being so far apart, therefore they decided to be friends. Emma also starred alongside George and the rest of One Night Only in the band’s video debut of their latest, self titled album, One Night Only.

Now the raison d'être of this post. New pictures have come to light from the festival. They include Emma with George and Emma with another woman who was with her and George at the festival (if anyone can name her feel free to leave a comment, a name would be much appreciated).

Emma for Lancôme Blanc Expert

As if being the face of Tresor Midnight Rose and her own lip colour line “Rouge In Love” wasn’t enough, Emma is also the new face of Lancôme Blanc Expert; an anti-age spot formula.  With Mario Testino as the photographer Emma seemed at ease and comfortable on the shoot and it shows in the pictures. Here are a few from the shoot and more can be seen on my Facebook fan page Emma Watson 411.

Back in December 2011, Emma took part in a photo shoot for Harry Crowder, a London based fashion and portrait photographer. Follow him on Twitter here. All of Harry’s portraits have a very British feel about them and he always seems to bring out the best of whomever he is photographing. Even the outfits that he has put Emma in, they fit her sense of style perfectly. The minimal makeup also represents Emma’s style brilliantly.

In these pictures below of Emma in a bathtub, she is dressed in a Peter Pan collar style top, black leggings and black pumps. Classic Emma. She has always said her style is very low maintenance and that she is always comfortable in plain black leggings and pumps.

Mr Crowder is not only about British photography and portraits, he has also been on a number of travels where he has taken beautiful and eye opening photographs of inspiring places and people. His website and photographs are definitely worth a look!

“My Week With Marilyn Premiere”

Welcome back everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a terrific New Year. To start the new year I’m doing a few catch up posts. Todays post details Emma’s outfit from the London premiere for My Week With Marilyn. As for the movie itself, it got excellent reviews all round, the acclaimed website Rotten Tomatoes has given it a 7.2/10 rating and 88% of its top critics gave it a big thumbs up.

It is a bio-pic film based on a book written by Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne) detailing his short but sweet time with the awe-inspiring Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Williams). The film has been given several BAFTA (Outstanding British Film, Leading Actress, Michelle Williams, Supporting Actor, Kenneth Branagh, Supporting Actress, Judi Dench, Costume Design), Oscar  (Michelle Williams for Actress in a Leading Role, Kenneth Branagh for Actor in a Supporting Role) and Golden Globe (Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical, Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Michelle Williams , Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role, Kenneth Branagh) nominations and is set for DVD release on March 12th 2012.

Now, onto the fashion. Emma went with a classic, monochrome look which was very fitting with the setting of the film as it ensemble was a beautiful echo of 1950s style. She wore a Jason Wu Spring 2012 Peplum top, Sandro Skirt, Jimmy Choo Greta Platform Sandals with accessories which included a Charlotte Olympia Pandora Clutch with Spider clasp and Solange Azagury-Partridge Nova Earrings.
